Eileen Behan is a member of the American Dietetic Association and a registered dietitian. She has over twenty-five years of experience working with individuals and families. Eileen trained as a dietitian at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She has worked for the Veteran’s Administration, the Harvard School of Public Health and currently works as a nutritionist for Core Physicians in Exeter, NH.
She has specialized training in the treatment of adolescent and adult weight management and she is the founder of the non-profit For the Love of Food Project. She has written for the Washington Post, Newsweek, Parents Magazine, Parenting and the Tuft’s University Nutrition Newsletter and written eight books on family nutrition. Her goal as a nutrition writer is to bring the science of nutrition out of the textbook and into the kitchen where families can use it.
Eileen wrote and produced Food For Talk for Boston public radio and has appeared on numerous television programs including NHPTV, CNN, CNBC and the Today Show. She lives in the seacoast area of New Hampshire with her husband and two children.
